The Royal Belgium Sailing Club at Duinbergen conducted the Belgium Youth Multihull Championships which was won by Marie Uyttendaele aged 10 & Boris Goethals aged 12 on a Hobie® Dragoon.
The young sailors have been sailing since they were 6 years old. After a year of training they reached their goal by winning the Belgium Youth Multihull Championship. Boris and Marie won seven of the nine races sailed. The two discard races were a 2nd and third. Showing their consistency during the championships.
Also on the podium was the team of Jan Van Maercke and Tom Van Maercke. With Carlo Morganti and Ralf on the podium in third place just one point behind Jan and Tom.
The youth sailors all showed a lot of talent with a very long future in Hobie sailing
