The Pescara Hobie 808 Fleet celebrated the 18th edition of its annual championship, the Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup (AHCC), with another exciting season of racing on the Adriatic coast.
Spanning the spring and summer months, from May to September 2025, the championship featured 18 races across five days of competition. A strong turnout of 17 Hobie 16 crews entered the series, highlighting the enduring popularity of the class within the region.
To maintain fair and competitive racing, the AHCC rules permit a discard every three races, ensuring that the overall standings accurately reflect consistent performance throughout the season rather than isolated results.
2025 Champions Crowned
The title of 2025 AHCC Champions went to the team of Carlo Metadow and Stefano Barbagallo, whose steady results across the series earned them the top step of the podium.
In second place, just behind the leaders, were Marcello Cozzolino and his crew, Mattia Ciattoni.
Rounding out the top three was Commodore Sandro Marino, skippering HCatamarino with rotating crews throughout the season, including Mattia Ciattoni, Vanessa Nasoni, Valerio Napoli, and Maria Arzeni.
