The International Hobie Class Association and Club de Vela La Ballena Alegre are proud to announce the 18th Hobie 14 World Championship and the 24th Hobie 16 World Championship, together with the Hobie Dragoon International Cup, to be held in beautiful Sant Pere Pescador on Spain’s spectacular Costa Brava coastline.
This historic event will mark the first time the Hobie 14 and Hobie 16 World Championships are conducted consecutively at the same venue, creating an extended international festival of Hobie sailing and bringing together competitors, families, and supporters from around the world.
Renowned internationally for its world-class race management, outstanding beach facilities, excellent accommodation, and consistent sailing conditions, Club de Vela La Ballena Alegre has become one of Europe’s premier sailing venues. Competitors can expect exciting racing, warm Mediterranean hospitality, and the unique atmosphere that defines the Hobie way of life.

Bring Your Own Boat Event
The Hobie 14, Hobie 16, and Hobie Dragoon events will all be conducted as bring-your-own-boat championships. Detailed international shipping and container logistics information will be made available soon to assist competitors planning to transport boats from overseas.
Sailors are encouraged to begin planning early due to the expected strong international participation.
