Hobie Wave Rule 6.10 – interpretation statement

The Rules Committee has received questions on the interpretation of Hobie Wave Rule 6.10:

A line or shock cord line may through a single block be attached to the bridle and run to a cleat of any design on the front crossbar to adjust mast rake. The mechanical purchase shall not exceed 2:1. There can only be one place of attachment anywhere on either of the bridal wires.

In response to these questions the Rules Committee hereby states:

Hobie Wave Rule 6.10 provides the playground for attaching a line with a single block between the bridle wires in a fixed position at the discretion of the owner. The dead end of the running line may be attached anywhere on the front crossbar.”

On behalf of the Rules Committee
