Hobie MultiEuropeans, Hobie 16 Open Series starts
The Hobie MultiEuropeans Hobie 16 Open series started at 9 AM at the Camping La Ballena Alegre. The first order of the day was to collect the new customised Hobie 16 sails supplied by Hobie Cat Europe. The sails and battens are all new and the colour of the sail pattern is unique to this event.
After collecting the new sails the sailors went down to the beach to raise the new sails. Delta flag raised around 12.15 and the start at 13.00.
The race committee was able to run two enjoyable races with a wind from North at8 to14 knots.
Then the wind dropped, with the sailors sent ashore to recharge and be again on the water around 6 o’clock for the third race with 6-8knots.

Tomorrow the schedule is the skipper meeting at 10 for the second day and start at 12.00
