XVI Pacific Games and Hobie 16 Oceania Championships

10 Hobie 16 teams from 7 countries competed at the XVI Pacific Games and Hobie 16 Oceania Championships, in Mulifunua, Samoa. Each country in Oceania was limited to a maximum of two entries and had to be nominated by their National Olympic Committee.

The racing was conducted over a week with winds varying from 7 to 22 knots.

Leo Belouard and Tom Picot won narrowly from fellow countrymen Auxence Thomas and Jean De Sola. With Fiji’s Shayne Brodie and Nelle Leenders taking the bronze medal.

In the team medal New Caledonia took the Gold, Fiji the Silver and host nation Samoa the Bronze.
