After months of waiting in this context of surreal situation passed between group video calls, video courses on review of race rules, virtual regattas on the PC, and not least but probably the most interesting, the vote for photos of the highly appreciated HOBIE photo contest CONTEST, after several Italian laws, the Hobie catters of the 808 Pescara have found themselves ever more numerous over time but always “unified” at the nautical base amidst a regulatory chaos of contrasts between regional and municipal ordinances. In fact, the 2 ordinances did not always regulate uniformly. However, the first regional ordinance (the n.59) allowed to go to the garages / circles for maintenance, then the n. 61 of 15 May, ordered “in art. 1. within the regional borders, sailing with sailing vessels is allowed to the owner, owners or those who are available. In addition to the conductor of the boat, the presence of one or more people on board may be provided, provided that they live together, relatives or members of the same family. Compliance with all safety measures and standards for protection from contagion and social distancing is mandatory, even when moving to go to the boat. ”
Comforted in the first by a light scirocco (south-east) breeze and in the early afternoon of the north wind, eighteen and sixteen in the water, almost all “single” but also some families. Fantastic feeling of returning to the water! Now the problem is “the Palm of the Fleet” (beach umbrella), better to say the various palm trees of the fleet, given the large number of associates 808’s, sympathizers and family members. The spirit of social aggregation must also be considered from an economic point of view, since the umbrella is considered by us to be complementary to our common passion for going out to sea, fundamental when there is calm or for an aperitif at sunset, Hobie Way of Life style. Its cost must now be shared by the state / regional laws / ordinances of a maximum of 6/8 people, cohabiting partners or families,….
In the meantime, we will see GOOD RESTART TO ALL HOBIE CATTERS !!
