IHCA Presidents blog, Winter in Maryland

Winter in Maryland. It’s been a no show!

For the most part, this has been the “winter that wasn’t” here in my part of the world. We are on course for the warmest winter in recorded history here, but global warming is a hoax right? What planet is that guy from.

Still I am managing to get some skiing in and some sailing too. On February 9, 2020 in Annapolis, MD. I was driving a motorboat and doing chase boat duty for my sailing club. It’s amazing how much sailing goes on year-round in Annapolis. It was about 40-degree F that day and there were probably 100 boats out racing on two race courses.

We are plotting some home improvement projects as soon as it gets a bit warmer and the Hobie will come out the garage in about a month. Sailing season won’t be far behind.

We have been looking at some ways to improve communication with Hobie class members worldwide. Currently we use our website www.hc.test, Facebook page, monthly email newsletter and Instagram however, I see some other classes using WhatsApp as well and we are wondering what you think of that? Would this be useful and if so tell us why. We appreciate your thoughts and can you leave us a comment in the contact us box here https://hobieclass.com/ihca-contacts/
