Race Start

Deborah Sue, Wednesday, 12 August 2015 Day 3 of the Championship had three races scheduled and the Fleet got away to an early start in 18 knots and flat water, behind the reef.
Team USA (Mike Montague and Heather Mathews) dominated the day with a 1st, 2nd and a 1st, and kept Murray Peterson (Australia) and Kathy Ward (USA) at arms length and the young Fijian team, Epeli Droma and Saimoni Naura, sailing strongly.
Day 4, the final two races were held in the morning ahead of the strengthening winds. Again, Team USA managed to hold off a strong challenge from Team Australia/USA and the series ended with:
1st place Team USA (Mike & Heather) victorious after 12 races and 2 drops.
2nd place Team Australia/USA (Murray& Kathy)
3rd place Team Fiji (Epeli & Saimoni)
