2015 Hobie MultiWorlds
David Brookes, Saturday, 1 August 2015

Again the day started promising with a solid wind from the north. By the time the sailors from the WildCat and Tigers got to the start the race committee decided to delay and then send the sailors ashore. For the Hobie 16 Gold and Silver Course they race committee got one race in on a dying breeze.

In the afternoon south breeze arrived to produce some excellent races for all the sailors.

In the WildCat it was another good day fro Mitch and Ruben Booth. Mitch said if yesterday was Champaign then today was Dom Prion. The racing was the best, 13-17 knots, flattish water and a few wind shifts. Ruben ‘dad is fun to sail with and I have learnt a lot. I can’t wait to skipper and race against him.

The Tigers on the same course it as Blaine Dodds birthday and he celebrated with a good day on the water. Blaine commented ‘we caught up a lot of points today with William so we are really looking forward to tomorrow.

On the Hobie 16 Gold Fleet Cedric and Laurent Bader FRA sailed another consistent day. Cedric, commented that ‘we sailed consistently but we didn’t watch Daniel Bjornholt DEN who is our closest competitor.’

The Hobie 16 Silver fleet Rich and Carol McVeigh sailed another consistent day. Rich was happier in the heavier wind, ‘we enjoy the stronger wind and just enjoying the competition’.

Tomorrow is the last day of the competition and titles will be decided on the water.
