The first FIV zonal regatta took place in Pescara, also valid for the AHCC (Adriatic Hobie Cat Cup) 2022, now in its fifteenth edition this year.
North/west wind, initial intensity for the first race around 12 knots, decreased in the second and then increased again for the last third race, all by 2 laps. Sunny day, top scenery with the mountains in the background of the Majella on the left and the Gran Sasso on the right (looking at the land from the sea) still very snow-covered as usual in this period, finally a climate that is not cold compared to the previous weeks, temperatures that have a lot of influenced by discouraging the not yet numerous participation for this first 2022 release on an Easter Saturday. It should also be considered that many Hobie sailors from Hobie fleet 808 are absent as they are on vacation, after many periods of covid lockdown. For the crews who showed up on the starting line, therefore, general test “testing” in anticipation of the next weekend of 23-25 for the seventh edition of the Hobie multiclass national regatta organized by Svagamente asd, our federal instructor Mauro Di Feliceantonio.
The winner is the Cozzolino-Ciattoni duo, which despite not having brilliant starts, impose themselves with 1-1-3. Following, on equal 8 points, Marino – De Felice (3-4-1) and the Di Nisio brothers (2-2-4).
The 2022 calendar of Svagamente – Flotta 808 Pescara was also presented in recent days, full of events, for all tastes: regattas, raids, Hobie Le Mans,….
