What better location in South Africa to host the original Hobie Cat than in Durban, Kwazulu? The warm waters, stable winds and rolling seas make for sailing 14’s off Durban an exciting location for the Hobie 14. The dates have ben confirmed 25-28 March 2016.
With 40 Hobie 14 expected including current Hobie 14 Woirld Champion Blaine Dodds. Though he will be up against his old rival and local sailor Garth Louden. There has been a resurgence of the Hobie 14 in South Afrcia attracting not only the long time Hobie sailors but the new sailors into the class.
There are some Hobie 14 charter boats for international sailors.
