A fleet of 18 Hobie 14s lined up for the first H14 Nationals in 17 years. The competitors ranged from Hobie “Die Hards” sailing boats that cost from $0 – $1000, borrowed boats through to brand new boats.

Damrongsak and Kitsada Vongtim from Thailand won the Vistra Hobie Asian Championship 2015 in a convincing fashion. In some excellent sailing they managed to win all but 1 of their races. The Vongtim brothers have won the Hobie Asian Championships many times over the years.
With the Hobie 14 & 16 Brazilian Championships 31 October to 7 November at Porto Belo, Santa Catarina. Already over 60 boats have been entered and the officials are predicting over 70 boats to register and compete.
Porto Belo is located in the Southern part of Brazil in the state of Santa Catarina. With well known excellent sailing conditions and tourist facilities the Brazilan Hobie class have chosen an great location for their Hobie National Championships.
