The British Hobie 16 Nationals 28th- 30th August 2021is confirmed and registration is open. Our new British Hobie Class Association was formed in 2020 with a plan to organize regular racing and work with existing cat events, the Hobie fleet in Jersey, and the rest of Europe to provide a full calendar of events. Then 2020 happened and we have had to put back our plans. We are still seeing what is possible in 2021, but for now, we have confirmed the dates for the Hobie 16 Nationals at Poole Yacht Club
The Hobie 16 Nationals will be at Poole Yacht Club on the August Bank Holiday 2021.

Join the growing fleet of Hobie 16s racing regularly in the UK. With used boats available from as little as £1500 and a local fleet at Poole Yacht Club you can enjoy the challenge of racing on a Hobie 16 at local club level or in the Hobie 16 Nationals at Poole Yacht Club. Saturday Evening – TBC we are looking at what it is possible to do due to COVID regulations but fingers crossed we will have a meal followed by a party at the Yacht Club. 7.00 pm -12.00am
Sunday 29th August Daytime – Race briefing time TBC Start Time 11.00 am
Sunday Evening – Meal and drinks in the Yacht Club from 7.00 pm
Sunday Evening – Hobie Class Association AGM – 8.00 pm – 9.30 pm
Monday 30th May Daytime – Race briefing time TBC, start time 11.00 am
ACCOMODATION
As there are so many people taking staycations this year it may be trickier to find accommodation than usual. Poole Yacht Club can offer spaces for campervans and we have sorted camping at the nearby Rugby Club for Hobie Sailors.
CAMPERVANS
Campervans can be bought to Poole Yacht Club for the event. No electricity will be provided. Toilets and showers available on site.

CAMPING – LYCHETT MINSTER RUGBY CLUB
We have organised camping for the Hobie Sailors only at a local rugby club, toilets and showers are available on site and they are charging £25 per night. If you wish to reserve a space just let us know on your registration form.
